About After Hours IT Services

I liked living in Nanoose Bay and didn't want to move. It was either retire or prepare to pull up stakes once again, so retirement was the obvious choice. "You can't retire unless you have something to go to!" was my wife's wise counsel and that led to enrolment in the Information Technology and Applied Systems program at Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo.

Computers had been a serious hobby since the purchase of my first PC in 1989 and this was a chance for some formal education. The program gives students a good grounding in PC's, networking and web construction.

The next question was "What do I do with this shiny new diploma?" I wasn't prepared to commit to this as a full time business yet, so I found regular employment where I can develop my computer skills and at the same time create a home based business that operates evenings and weekends. I am hoping that this niche fits home users that want to learn more or need computer maintenance and repair and small businesses that don't have time during regular business hours for non-emergency computer needs.
